About comparing numbers worksheets

Which is bigger? Young children compare two groups of pictures and circle the one with more or fewer. It's a visual first step toward understanding what numbers mean. Kids can line the pictures up or count each group, and both strategies work.

In first grade and up, kids compare written numbers and choose greater than, less than or equal to. Second grade pages use two-digit numbers, including tricky pairs like 47 and 74, and older kids compare numbers into the thousands. The answer key shows the right sign for every pair.
